I’m glad to see that you are posting again. This old little that we can control and I like you might as well just take a shot . I’m still interested in how the wheelchair accessible accommodations on the cruise ship we’re.I’m so glad you guys had a chance to get away and the cruise went well.
Hans, thanks for stopping by and commenting. Given all that is going on, I’m not sure I’ll get out a post about the details of my cruise. In short, Anthem of the Seas is probably the most accessible cruise ship I have traveled on. And, given that we didn’t fly from Maine to New York to board the ship, it was smooth sailing, so to speak.
Hey Mitch, nice article. Glad to hear your latest cruise went well, but sorry that SXSW and your April cruise will be a no go. Better safe than sorry, though. You made the right choice, no sense tempting the fates. Besides, by April cruises may be canceled anyway.
BTW, I’m way ahead of the game on self quarantining. One of the unexpected benefits of becoming an sort of forced antisocial Kamikaze late in life. I guess there’s always a bright side…
Marc,
Yeah, I can’t believe all these cruises will continue to go as scheduled, given that they may be half empty, and given that there can be disastrous scenarios where passengers are infected. Now I have to guess how far out I have to wait to get back on the cruise ship — a couple months? A couple years? Congratulations on once again being ahead of the curve regarding self quarantining. Just don’t get within 6 feet of Karen!
Well, being an 80 plus dude, I’ve been following the dark CV news closely, and thinking of you, the super cruiser, and thinking MITCH DON’T DO IT! I’m glad you came to the same conclusion.
Roger, I received your telepathic message!
Ha! I have to admit I did think to myself “Mitch isn’t crazy enough to get on a cruise right now” but am glad you came through unscathed. VERY good decision on that second one though!
Mary, I’m glad you found me again. Now we are playing a game of “chicken” with Norwegian Cruise line. If we cancel because of the virus we get a credit for a future cruise. If they cancel because of the virus, we get cash back.
