I belong to a nonprofit organization, 3i Housing of Maine, whose mission is to provide supportive housing for non-elderly adults with physical disabilities. We are targeting individuals who might otherwise end up in a nursing home well before their time.
We are not yet recruiting for residents, but we are looking for readers with physical disabilities who are willing to speak with us about what accessible housing should look like. If you are interested in helping us with this study, please fill out this screening survey, which will take only a minute or two.
We will be selecting a limited number of candidates to move on to the second phase which consists of a one-on-one, 60-minute interview about issues having to do with adaptive housing. Candidates who are selected for the second phase will be reimbursed with a $50 gift card.
Thanks in advance to those who are interested in helping us out. If you are not a candidate for the study, but you know someone who might be, please forward this link to them.

I will take the link down as soon as we have enough candidates.

Best of luck, Mitch. That’s a wonderful thing to do. Hope you are successful.
If anyone can do it, you can.
Love, Gail
Gail, thanks for your kind words. I’m part of an awesome team that will get it done!
Thank you so much Mitch for your dedication to this project!!
Paul, for me, this is just good clean fun.
This is such an incredible and needed venture, Mitch! Thanks for leading the charge on this, and we wish you the best. We realize we’re in Michigan, but please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
Dan and Jennifer
Dan and Jennifer, doing things for other people feels so good that sometimes I wonder if I’m really doing it for myself and not for them. Know what I mean?
